“Virtual Reality in Education and Global Environment Solutions” Tokat LTT Activity.

The third Learning and Teaching mobility of the “Key to Global Life, Digital Change of Nature” Erasmus+ KA201 projectthat is numbered  2020-1-TR01-KA201-094533 held on 03-09 October 2022. Slovakia, Belgium, Portugal and Spain partners participated in this activity.

Within the scope of the project, First day activities held Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. Prof. Dr. Eren YürüDürün started the activities with her opening speech and continued to work within the scope of the project with presentations about the project by educators who are experts in their fields. TOGU University Rector Prof. Dr. Bünyamin ŞAHİN and Provincial Director of National Education Ahmet ÖZDEMİR came together for lunch, and the necessary information and developed products were introduced at the TOGÜ Solar Energy Systems, Compost Production Facility and Natural Paints Application and Research Center in the university area.  Participants take a tour of the historical and cultural places of our Tokat, and they got brief information about the places.

On the second day, Tokat Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School ICT teachers Mustafa Akyüz, Coşkun Cengiz, Kadir Doğanay Ömer Yılmaz Kazım Şimşek and Erkan Demir informed the participants about the development and development processes of VR (Virtual Reality: Virtual reality) applications. They gived information about the areas in which Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality technologies where they are today. Participants tried with one-on-one testing and use of VR technologies. In the evening of the day, dinner participants got lunch with Provincial Director of National Education Ahmet ÖZDEMİR and the directors.Provincial Director gived information about about the studies on global climate change in our schools.

On the third day, the teachers Kemal ÖZLÜ and Murat GÜRLER, showed the VR information and the applications made in the BITOKA (Common Use Area of ​​Informatics and Innovative Technologies) class within Yeşilırmak Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. VR applications were tested and demonstrated one-on-one, and the project coordinator İbrahim ÖZKAL provided the participants with the “Blender” (3D design application) program training.

On the fourth day, the participants made woodblock print case studies at the Institute of Graduation and were informed about both the past and the current state of woodcut print. Our project partners and students came together in the “One Language & One Human” project, which was implemented by the R&D Unit of the Tokat Provincial Directorate of National Education in order to make students love foreign languages ​​and to raise individuals who use foreign languages ​​actively. In the last two days, training videos and materials were prepared within the scope of the project by using Mixed Reality and Green Screen technologies with participation from abroad.

On the last days all the participants were captured the video on green screen. They talked about STEM activities and other organisations.
